
Program Leadership
Dr. Julie Leviter
Julie Leviter completed her pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Hasbro Children's Hospital of Brown University. She went on to complete a fellowship in point-of-care ultrasonography at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Yale University School of Medicine, and an Attending Physician at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, and Greenwich Hospital. Dr. Leviter's research and clinical interests include point-of-care ultrasonography use in pediatric cardiac arrest, and education for residents, fellows, medical students, and nurses.

Dr. Zack Binder


Coby Kelner is a neonatologist and the Director of Neonatal POCUS at Connecticut Children’s, as well as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. His clinical, educational, and research interests focus on neonatal POCUS, including lung ultrasound, neonatal hemodynamics, and the development of sustainable POCUS education and quality improvement in the NICU. In his time away from the unit, he enjoys traveling, staying active, and working to improve his golf game."
Rahul Shah completed his pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Connecticut Children's Hospital. He subsequently completed a fellowship in emergency ultrasound at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. His is an She is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and an Attending Physician at Connecticut Children's, where he also serves as the Director of Emergency Ultrasound.
Track Directors


Zack Binder is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. His academic interests are in the use of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks for the treatment of acute pain. In his off time Zack enjoys playing softball and chasing after his 4 and 6 year olds.
